    Dear Marg,

I visited Collingwood few weeks ago to look at new developments and really liked the town and surrounding recreational amenities.

I have been looking for a new build home and have been offerec a 3,400 sq ft home in Red Maple by Consar Developments. I have read about some past issues but spoke directly to Ken Michaud who explained the history and context.

Can you please give me some advise. Looking for a home that I could rent out in the future and also use perhaps the basement for a short holiday in winter/summer.

    Regards

    Nasir Siddique

Hi Nasir. It’s great to hear that you like our area which really is fantastic. We do have a high demand for both annual and seasonal rentals in the area. In regard to investing, there are many different approaches depending on your personal situation; some people look for something counting on appreciation, others to renovate and resell and, others to have a long term strategy. For this reason, I only really give advice to my own clients once I fully understand their needs and dreams. I’d suggest you contract with a local agent you trust to represent you in a purchase in the area. I’d love to be considered for the job and would be happy to meet with you. Thanks again for dropping by the blog.
